For walking into this one blind–I’d never met Kari or Lorenzo, or even spoken to them on the phone, I’d never been to the location, and never seen it–this was one of the easiest shoots and a really fun group of people.  Lauxmont Farms in Wrightsville, PA is a simply gorgeous location.   Kari and Lorenzo met on the subway in New York and brought together two wonderful families from as far away as London and Italy.

Grace and Dexter had a beautiful location–Grace’s father’s farm.  In spite of being worried about weather, it was a perfect day.  Sue and I both had a great time at this wedding.  I knew when I first met Grace and Dexter that family was very important to them, and the wedding day proved me right.  We loved working with such a close knit bunch, and they had an excellent sense of humor, as well!  Grace doesn’t just dance–she ignites the whole dance floor :)

I knew right away when I met Rosie and Rob that they would be great to work with, and that their wedding would be a really fun one.   At the time they first contacted me, Rosie was working at one of my favorite restaurants.  When I mentioned how much I enjoyed one of the appetizers, she said nothing–but showed up at our consultation with a take out box full of delicious food.  How often does that happen?  NEVER.  I was 6 months pregnant, and voraciously hungry all the time, and they now hold a special place in my heart :)

In spite of losing their reception site for their June 20th wedding, they managed to book an even better place at Oregon Ridge State Park.   Good return karma for two people who put out enough good karma for ten.

Renee and RJ, May 23 2009

It seems only fitting to start my blog with pictures of one of the nicest, kindest couples I’ve had as customers.  Renee and RJ got married at the Hillendale Country Club which is a simply gorgeous location.  Portraits on the green were lovely and went great,  even though I was 8 months pregnant at the time.  The walking did me good,  although the golf cart ride was a little rough.

The reception was a dance party, with everyone joining in,  even grandmothers in wheelchairs.  I think the chocolate fountain put everyone in the mood!

Welcome to Heather Coburn Photography.   Taking the plunge into blogging is a little scary for me, but I do love the aspect of being able to give people an early peek at a selection of their images. I also like the idea that I will be recording my year in photographer in a more organized way than ever before. Hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed making them.

Slainte!
